Dual Momentary Footswitch
Need a cable for your footswitch? Click here!
This is a dual momentary footswitch which is wired similarly to the Boss FS-6 (or two FS-5Us), so you can use it to control additional features of your pedals such as the RC looper series. See below for an example of the pedal being used with an RC-3.
If you check your Boss manual and it shows the polarity switch to the left (the most common setting for Boss pedals) then request the “Normally Closed” polarity option above when ordering. If the manual shows the switch to the right then please request the “Normally Open” polarity option above when ordering.
We can do the normally open option using the standard footswitches that have a mechanical click or with soft touch footswitches so pick which you would prefer.
If you would like both polarity options then we can add a polarity switch for an extra £5.00. Otherwise if you are still unsure then please contact me as the pedal may be incompatible if not wired correctly.
The pedal is totally passive so no power required. All that you need is a stereo patch cable to connect it to your pedal.
By default the pedal comes unpainted with a clear label, in the options above you can select for the pedal to be powder coat painted black for an additional £5.00. Please note that if you select for the pedal to be painted then it will not be labelled.
The pedal is built with:
- Aluminium enclosure
- Neutrik jack socket
- DPDT heavy duty foot switches
- Point to point wiring
- Velcro to stick it to your pedalboard

Great tool for gigging, I use it with my boss me70, no more getting down on the stage floor to switch patch banks, that used to be such a drag man :( .
Fast build, robust quality case and fast delivery, outstanding service, and great design (no batteries needed for this pedal so cheaper and better option than the equivalent Boss dual switch, in my opinion),groovie baby yeh, nice to be able to support a British manufacturer too, I suggest you buy it :).
Great Pedal! Works with Lexicon Unit!

The pedal is the best alternative for the FS-6. I use it for my Lexicon MPX110 for on/off-switching and tap tempo.
The contact with James was really helpful! Buy Bright Onion Pedals!!!!

FS-6 alternative. Ordered it for controlling tap tempo and mode switching for my Voodoo Lab Wahzoo wah pedal. Works perfect and looks mich smarter than the Boss unit. Thanks James for answering all my questions during the ordering process.

I won't say this pedal does a SIMPLE job well, because I've next to no knowledge of electronics, so who am I to say what is simple or easy? But the job it does, it does flawlessly. Added to that it's tiny - it could scarcely be smaller and still accommodate the two footswitches (and no doubt the circuit inside) without them being so close together as to make pressing the correct switch in the heat of the moment potentially a bit of a challenge.
So kudos for it being tiny, and even more for the fact the switches are quiet, which means that even if you are using your RC looper to put together a very quiet loop, the clicking of the footswitches won't intrude into that quietness.
James was really helpful when I ordered, and I love the unpretentiousness and clarity of the BOP site. There's no hype even though these pedals have the potential to help you pull off some dramatic changes when playing live. If one of his pedals does a job you need doing I reckon you can't go wrong. They are super functional.

This is my 2nd pedal from BOP, the 1st being a new foot switch for my amp, Ive been using the RC-3 for a while now, but while a very versatile pedal in such a small casing, the one button to work everything made limitations, especially if you want to cut a looped phrase mid tune. for that you would have to buy the boss foot switch or the RC-30. this pedal does everything the boss foot switch does and is 1.4 the size, better made and a fraction of the price. Thanks very much james!!!
Beyond Perfect. Seriously. Just buy it.

I also saw a video on youtube after I bought my Boss Rc-3. I realised how invaluable it would be to have this and how much I'd be saving (at least £30). It's passive, never going to break and over half the price of the official boss footswitch. It also works with other pedals (I've tried it with my g1 effects pedal). Great buy. Also James seems to be a really nice and genuine guy. Came within 8 days. Nothing to complain about.

I'd just like to echo all the other five star reviews here. I wasn't sure this was the right external footswitch for a Boss ME-20 multi-effects pedal (especially as it's so much cheaper than the official Boss version) but James answered my queries very promptly and even did a custom label for me at no extra charge. And of course it works perfectly.
Five star quality, five star price, five star service.

I am using this pedal with my Korg Pandora 5 and I have to say that it's an amazing foot switch...very good value, way cheaper than the boss ps5, cool design and no battery required.
Also, the correspondence I had with James @ Bright Onion before purchasing the product turned out to be invaluable, as I had no clue what footswitch went with my Korg Pandora.. I just told him what I had and he directed me towards the best pedal available
